A registered massage therapist and member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) since 2005, Lavanya’s training and focus on healing in therapeutic massage inspired her to return to University and further expand her knowledge of the human body. Earning a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary was the springboard to submerse herself in further studies. She is a lifelong student of health and is currently in her fifth year of Osteopathic Studies with the Canadian College of Osteopathy.
Lavanya’s foundation in therapeutic massage, craniosacral therapy, athletic therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, pre/postnatal care, and Thai yoga massage allows clients to feel restored and renewed.
Centered with the intention of creating a peaceful and compassionate environment to provide each individual with a deeply nourishing mind, body and soul experience, Lavanya’s treatments incorporate a blend of massage and Osteopathic techniques, such as strain-counterstrain, ligamentous articular strain, and myofascial tension techniques.
As a massage therapist, yoga instructor, Pilates practitioner and avid student of health & wellness, Lavanya is passionate about the understanding of anatomy, biomechanics and energy systems that create tensions and discomfort in the body. She is gifted at listening and moving the body to release and open up to it’s potential.
Lavanya is a 2200 hour registered massage therapist (RMT) with the NHPC. Her treatments utilize a gentle, light touch therapy and no oils are used in treatment. Learn more about Lavanya’s treatments here.
