Ten years ago I decided to branch out and start my own clinic. As I reflect back on the last 10 years, I am blown away by the journey and all that has come to pass. What immediately comes up are all the people that I have been so blessed to know and work alongside. So – in honour of our 10 year anniversary – I want to send some love to some of the people who have played a significant role in the clinic’s development – roughly in chronologically order:
To Mitch: NONE of this would have happened without your unwavering support and belief in me. Quit everything and do this – no looking back. Thank you and I love you.
To Lisa H: Thank you for your belief this would work and for jumping in to help me right from the very start. I remember the “I’m starting a clinic – will you be my right-hand women?” phone conversation like it was yesterday and how happy I was that you were all in. You are a force of nature and the epitome of bravery and grit.
To the late and one-of-a-kind Rita: Thank you eternally for everything you have meant to me and continue to mean to me. The clinic would not be the way it is without your loving guidance and influence. You continue to be my angel – just as you were while on earth.
To Kevin: Thank you for your grounding presence and your consistency and dedication to exploring the depth and mystery of life and all the other realms.
To Sarah: Thank you for joining me all those years ago and enriching the clinic with your head and your heart. You are smarter than smart and a shining example of living life right. I am so grateful that you trusted me and I look forward to seeing you continue to literally change people’s lives.
To Kelsey: Thank you for showing me what it means to be unapologetically yourself and sticking to your truth. I don’t know how many times I have said thank you for all that you do behind the scenes to keep the clinic at it’s best – I’ll say it again: thank you!
To Emmery: Thank you for being such a light and a joy and showing me what it looks like to really care for people. I loved you from the first second I met you (and I think this is not an unusual experience for people when they met you) and I still miss your presence!
To Hillary: Thank you for showing up and adding a piece I didn’t even realize was needed in the clinic. Your gift of relationship and realness is a joy to be around and a blessing on your patients and me. I love when I can hear you laugh from the other side of the clinic – it never gets old!
To Verlyne: Thank you for bringing a diverse offering of gifts. You are a soul on the move and I love that I get to watch and be a part of that. Your commitment and curiosity to health and healing on so many levels is inspiring and makes you an exceptionally gifted and multidimensional therapist.
To Layle: Thank you for your loyalty and commitment to helping the clinic with whatever is asked of you. You are an incredibly hard worker and a deeply caring soul. My Virgo heart loves your attention to detail and the trust we all have in you makes everything run so smoothly.
To Lisa W: Thank you for being an obvious choice for the clinic. In sharing your wisdom and deep spiritual knowing – we are all enriched. Like a sprite who plays in the magic of the forest – I appreciate your deep yet playful way of being.
To Leisha: I knew we were destined to work together before I had even met you. I knew from what I heard from patients and friends that you were amazing and the kind of healer and guide that is very rare indeed. Thank you for gracing us with your presence – I do not take that gift lightly.
To Lavanya: Thank you for the beautiful energy you bring – it just emanates off you. I always know when you are in the clinic and it brings a peace to the physical space. You are wise beyond your years and bring the gift of physical and intuitive healing.
To Lindsey: Like I’ve said many times: I couldn’t say no even though we shared the same name and I wondered if it would get confusing. Your commitment to your patients and to collaboration is inspiring and I love watching you take on new challenges as a doctor and blow me away with your skill and grace.
To Chloe: Thank you for the unique and elevated energy you bring to the clinic and deep healing you offer to your patients. I love the French flare and perspective you have on life that is refreshing and inspiring – espresso and chocolate on the patio – heck yes!
To Courtney: Thank you for your youthful energy and desire to grow and learn. It’s like watching a butterfly emerging from their cocoon and I look forward to watching you fly. Thank you our only Zellennial who makes sure the Millennials and Gen Xers keep with the program.
And thank you to all the amazing patients, staff and clinicians I have had the joy of working with over the past 10 years!
Much love,
Dr. Lindsay Irwin
